Aerospace Stress Analysis Engineer

 

Answer Engineering is looking for Lead & Senior Stress Analyst Engineers to add to our team.  Engineers will perform design/analysis duties and lead teams of younger engineers.  Significant experience in Aerospace development projects including new aircraft, significant aircraft modifications, spacecraft, and aircraft systems is preferred.   Duties include aspects of design, development, and analysis. Our projects require engineers to utilize a multi-disciplinary approach to problem solving. The engineer will be responsible to understand and utilize core engineering principles to provide quick and elegant results directly to customers. At Answer Engineering, you are responsible for your own tasks and set your own schedule to complete those tasks. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment is a must!

 

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Managing schedules and priorities

  • Developing and leading a team of engineers

  • Making program critical decisions

  • Training, mentoring, leading and guiding other Engineers

  • Encouraging other Engineers and technical staff

  • Creating and delivering presentations to customers

Requirements:

  • 7-15 years of relevant experience

  • BS in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering (or comparable combination of education/work experience)

  • Moderate travel

  • Must be a US Citizen or Permanent Resident with the ability to obtain a security clearance

Preferred Engineering Experience In:

·      Structures Analysis (composite and metallic)

·      Mechanical Systems Stress (Flight controls, landing gear, hydraulic analysis)

·      Primary and Secondary Stress

·      Classic Hand Analysis Methods

·      Laminate Plate Theory & Composite Structural Analysis Methods

·      Femap

·      NASTRAN

·      Loads Development

·      Fatigue & Fracture is a plus

·      CAD experience is a plus

·      Hands-on and test experience is a plus 

Position Type: Full Time

Salary Range: $80,000 - $130,000
